Tasting Notes
Nose Raisins, dark berries and orange peel with honeycomb, vanilla, roasted nuts and warming oak spice.
Palate Rich and powerful, with dark chocolate, treacle and dried fruits alongside red berries, toffee, cinnamon and sweet vanilla oak.
Finish Long and warming, with lingering sherry fruit, cocoa, spice, caramel and polished oak.
GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is a bold and richly layered Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.8% ABV. Crafted in small batches under the direction of Master Distiller Billy Walker, this multi-award-winning expression showcases GlenAllachie’s full-bodied house style with impressive depth, concentration and balance.
For Batch 13, the whisky was matured in a carefully selected combination of Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, Oloroso sherry casks, red wine casks and virgin oak. Each cask type contributes a different dimension, with PX bringing rich sweetness and dark fruit, Oloroso adding nutty spice, red wine introducing berry fruit and structure, and virgin oak contributing vanilla, toffee and warming spice.
Bottled at natural cask strength, this release delivers GlenAllachie at its most expressive. Its deep chestnut colour, lively aroma and powerful palate make it a rewarding dram for those who enjoy full-flavoured Speyside whisky, with a few drops of water revealing even more layers of fruit, spice and oak.

Glenallachie
La distillerie Glenallachie, située sur le versant oriental du mont Ben Rinnes, dans la prestigieuse région écossaise du Speyside, est réputée pour son cadre pittoresque, souvent niché au creux des neiges et exposé aux éléments. Conçue par l'architecte William Delmé-Evans, cette distillerie moderne et esthétique allie harmonieusement architecture contemporaine et beauté sauvage des Highlands. Mise en service en 1967 avec deux alambics, Glenallachie en a installé quatre en 1989 pour répondre à la demande croissante de son whisky de malt Glenallachie, un ingrédient incontournable de nombreux assemblages de renom. Si les cuvées officielles de la distillerie sont limitées, des embouteilleurs indépendants comme Signatory Vintage et Cadenheads proposent une gamme plus étendue de single malts Glenallachie, très recherchés par les amateurs et collectionneurs de whisky.
