Tasting Notes
Nose Raisins, ripe figs and orange peel with honeyed orchard fruits, dark chocolate, treacle and rich Pedro Ximénez sweetness.
Palate Full and concentrated, with dates, fruitcake, dark chocolate and caramel alongside baked apple, sweet malt and warming sherry spice.
Finish Long and warming, with lingering dried fruit, cocoa, orange zest, sweet oak and rich PX character.
Glen Moray 18 Year Old 2007 Unicorn is a single cask Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled exclusively for The Whisky Barrel as part of the acclaimed Unicorn Series. Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2026, this 18 year old Glen Moray was matured in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez quarter cask #TWB153, yielding just 162 bottles at natural cask strength of 52.4% ABV. Presented at natural colour and without chill filtration, it is a rich and highly individual expression of this classic Elgin distillery.
Glen Moray is known for its soft, fruit-led Speyside character, and the concentrated influence of a first-fill PX quarter cask brings considerable richness and intensity. Expect layers of raisins, figs, dark chocolate, treacle and warming spice alongside orchard fruits, honeyed malt and citrus. After 18 years of maturation, the whisky shows impressive integration, with the smaller quarter cask format adding depth while preserving the elegant character of the spirit.
The bespoke label continues the storytelling at the heart of The Whisky Barrel Unicorn Series, depicting the unicorn overlooking the town of Elgin and its historic cathedral. The artwork also gives a subtle nod to the distinctive vintage Glen Moray presentation tins released through the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, many of which famously featured imagery inspired by the Royal Highland regiments. It is a fitting reference to both the distillery's home town and a memorable piece of Glen Moray's packaging heritage.

Glen Moray
La distillerie Glen Moray, ancienne brasserie West Brewery fondée par Henry Arnold sur les rives pittoresques de la rivière Lossie, s'est transformée en distillerie de whisky de malt en 1897.
