His journey began in 1986, and four decades later this commemorative bottling marks the milestone with a richly sherried expression from Edradour. Matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads and bottled in 2026 at a robust 57.1% ABV, it delivers the full-bodied character and deep sherry influence for which Edradour is so well suited. This 6 year old release forms one half of a special anniversary pairing alongside an Edradour 8 Year Old, with the two whiskies drawn respectively from the original Edradour distillery and Edradour No.2. Together they offer an unusual opportunity to taste the two side by side and explore how the character of the spirit differs between the distillery’s two production streams.
