Distilled when post-war optimism filled the Highlands and matured in a single sherry-seasoned cask chosen by G&M, this venerable malt slumbered for fifty-seven years before being bottled. The result is a serenely complex whisky where honeyed orchard fruit, antique oak and rancio-tinged spice weave an unforgettable tapestry of flavour.

Why We Think You’ll Love It

  • Single long-seasoned sherry cask imbues decadent dried-fruit richness, dark-chocolate depth and polished spice.

  • 57 years of dunnage maturation transform Glen Grant’s orchard-fruit purity into layers of mahogany sweetness and elegant rancio complexity.

  • A rare window into 1950s Glen Grant craftsmanship — ideal for collectors, sherried-malt connoisseurs and whisky historians.

  • Exemplifies Gordon & MacPhail’s unrivalled expertise in nurturing ultra-mature single casks to peak elegance and harmony.

Pour a measure of this extraordinary Glen Grant and savour an unforgettable union of honeyed depth, opulent sherry richness and time-honed sophistication — a historic dram that resonates long after the final sip.

The Distillery

Glen Grant
Glen Grant Distillery, founded in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant, experienced such success that Glen Grant No. 2 was constructed across the road in 1897 to meet soaring demand for its Speyside malt whisky. Situated in Rothes and equipped with eight stills plus an on-site bottling plant, Glen Grant remains a cornerstone of Scottish whisky craftsmanship. Visitors can explore a meticulously maintained Victorian garden—created during the late 19th century—nestled in the valley behind the distillery. Over the years, Gordon & MacPhail has released exceptional vintage single malts from Glen Grant, including rarities dating back to the 1950s, underscoring the distillery’s enduring legacy and timeless appeal.
