Glen Elgin 19 Jahre alter Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky aus dem Jahrgang 1995. Abgefüllt im März 2015 von Signatory Vintage aus einem einzelnen Hogshead-Fass (Nr. 1645) für die Un-Chillfiltered-Serie. Glen Elgin Die Glen Elgin Distillery wurde von Charles C. Doig entworfen und 1898 von William Simpson und James Carle neben der Morayshire Railway in Fogwatt gegründet. Die schottische Speyside-Malt-Whisky-Brennerei verfügt über sechs kleine Brennblasen und sechs runde Holzschlangen. Da Glen Elgin einen Großteil seines Whiskys für den Blended Scotch von White Horse liefert, wurden nur wenige offizielle Glen Elgin Single Malt Whiskys auf den Markt gebracht. Die Glen Elgin Distillery nimmt am Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival teil.

The Distillery

Glen Elgin Distillery, designed by Charles C. Doig and founded in 1898 by William Simpson and James Carle, sits beside the Morayshire Railway in Fogwatt, firmly within Scotland’s Speyside malt whisky heartland. Equipped with six small stills and six round wooden worm tubs, Glen Elgin is among the few remaining distilleries to embrace this traditional cooling method, contributing a distinctive character to its spirit. Although much of Glen Elgin’s output supports White Horse blends, the only official distillery release is the Glen Elgin 12 Year Old, while independent bottlers—such as Coopers Choice, Cadenhead, and Signatory Vintage—offer additional single malt expressions cherished by whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
