Bowmore
Die Bowmore Distillery wurde 1779 von John Simpson auf der schottischen Insel Islay vor der Westküste gegründet. Sie liegt in Bowmore am Ufer von Loch Indaal und ist die älteste noch in Betrieb befindliche Brennerei auf Islay und eine der ältesten Malt-Whisky-Brennereien Schottlands. Die Bowmore Distillery stellt nach wie vor einen Teil ihres Gerstenmalzes auf ihren eigenen traditionellen Mälzereien und Darren her. Besucher sind im Bowmore Besucherzentrum herzlich willkommen. Dort werden neben Brennereiführungen auch Ferienhäuser der Bowmore Distillery angeboten. Die Bowmore Distillery nimmt am Feis Isle, dem Islay Festival für Whisky und Musik, teil.
Reichhaltig, fruchtig und rauchig. Die Weinfinish verleiht dem Whisky eine rötliche Farbe, und in der Nase entfalten sich Aromen von Rosenblättern, Apfel und Trauben.

Bowmore
Bowmore Distillery, founded by David Simpson in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal on the Isle of Islay, is recognized as one of the oldest working distilleries on Islay and among the earliest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. Renowned for its dedication to traditional production methods, Bowmore still malts a portion of its barley on heritage malting floors and uses its own malt kilns—a practice that contributes to its distinct Islay single malt character. Actively participating in Feis Ile, the annual Islay Festival of Malt and Music, Bowmore offers special bottlings during this vibrant celebration, further cementing its reputation among whisky enthusiasts. Popular official releases include the Bowmore 12 Year Old, 15 Year Old, and 25 Year Old, each showcasing the distillery’s hallmark fusion of peat smoke and maritime influence that has made Bowmore an essential name in Scotch whisky history.
