Nose: Layers of dried apricot, raisin loaf and orange-peel marmalade rise over beeswax-polished oak, heather honey and a trace of cinnamon bark.
Palate: Silky waves of treacle toffee, dark-chocolate truffle and sweet malt coat the tongue, followed by clove-spiked caramel, roasted hazelnut and a bright flash of candied citrus.
Finish: Long, warming and gracefully dry—lingering sherry-soaked fruitcake, supple oak tannin and a final flourish of vanilla-malt sweetness.
