Carsebridge 50 Year Old Living Souls

Tasting Notes
Carsebridge 50 Year Old Living Souls is an extraordinarily rare and beautifully mature single grain Scotch whisky from the long-closed Carsebridge Distillery. Matured for an exceptional five decades in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled in 2026 by Living Souls at 40.3% ABV, this magnificent release offers a rare opportunity to experience whisky from one of Scotland's most celebrated lost grain distilleries at an extraordinary age. Carsebridge Distillery closed permanently in 1983, making surviving stocks increasingly scarce and highly sought after. After 50 years of maturation, the whisky displays remarkable delicacy and complexity, with the first-fill bourbon barrels contributing layers of vanilla, citrus, creamy confectionery, and gentle spice. Orange blossom, lemon sherbet, and buttery shortbread lead the aroma before an elegant palate of mandarin, vanilla fudge, and cardamom buns emerges, lifted by a delicate touch of coconut.
