Tasting Notes
Aultmore 13 Year Old 2013 Lady of the Glen Samhain is a distinctive Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Lady of the Glen for its evocative Samhain Series. Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026, this 13 year old Aultmore was matured in a first-fill rum barrel, cask #30044, yielding just 233 bottles at a robust 56.1% ABV. Aultmore is known for its clean, fresh and elegant Speyside character, and the influence of a first-fill rum barrel adds an appealing layer of tropical sweetness and richness. Expect notes of pineapple, banana, vanilla and demerara sugar alongside the distillery’s underlying citrus, orchard fruit and sweet malt. The result is a lively and expressive single cask whisky with a distinctive tropical edge. This release forms part of the Lady of the Glen Samhain Series, where each whisky is paired with a tale inspired by Scottish folklore and local legend. The atmospheric labels are created by Edinburgh-based artist and designer Steven Shand, whose intricate artwork and storytelling draw on more than 15 years of experience in the Scottish whisky industry. Together, the whisky and artwork capture the darker, haunting character associated with Samhain and Scotland’s rich cultural past.
