Strathclyde 27 Jahre alter Lowland Single Grain Scotch Whisky aus dem Jahrgang 1988. Abgefüllt aus einem einzigen Boubonfass (Nr. 62121) im Juni 2015 für unsere exklusive Burns Malt®-Serie. Strathclyde Die Strathclyde Distillery wurde 1927 an einem ehemaligen Mühlenstandort in der Moffat Street am Südufer des Flusses Clyde im Herzen Glasgows gegründet. Die schottische Lowland-Grain-Whisky-Brennerei verfügt über zwei kontinuierliche Coffey-Brennblasen für die Grain-Whisky-Produktion sowie fünf weitere kontinuierliche Coffey-Brennblasen zur Herstellung von Neutralalkohol. Das Wasser stammt aus Loch Katrine, das in den Hügeln nördlich von Glasgow liegt. 1957 wurde innerhalb des Geländes der Strathclyde Distillery die Kinclaith Malt Distillery errichtet, die jedoch 1975 geschlossen und im darauffolgenden Jahr abgerissen wurde.

The Distillery

Strathclyde Distillery, established in 1927 on Moffat Street near the River Clyde in Glasgow, is a historic Lowland grain whisky distillery. Equipped with two Coffey continuous stills for grain whisky production and five additional Coffey stills for neutral spirit, it plays a vital role in Scotch whisky blending. The distillery sources its water from Loch Katrine, nestled in the hills north of Glasgow. In 1957, the Kinclaith malt distillery was added to the complex but closed in 1975 and was dismantled in 1976, marking Strathclyde as a key part of Scotland’s whisky legacy.
