Kininvie Distillery, located near the River Fiddich in Scotland’s prestigious Speyside whisky region, was founded in 1990 to meet the rising demand for William Grant’s blended Scotch whisky. Unique in its setup, Kininvie’s mash tun and washbacks are housed in a neighboring distillery, while its still house boasts nine stills. Initially released under the name Hazelwood, Kininvie launched its first official single malt whisky in 2006 to celebrate Mrs. Janet Sheed Roberts’ 105th birthday, followed by limited editions for her 107th and 110th birthdays. Recent offerings include the highly regarded Kininvie 17 Year Old.
