Glenglassaugh Distillery, a prestigious Highland malt whisky distillery, is beautifully situated at Sandend Bay near Portsoy on the scenic Banffshire coast. In 1959, Glenglassaugh underwent substantial rebuilding and successfully reopened in 1960, only to face closure in 1986. Demonstrating remarkable resilience, the distillery resumed operations in December 2008 and is now proudly owned by Brown-Forman of America.
