Glen Spey Distillery, located on the historic site of an old corn mill in the picturesque village of Rothes within Speyside, Scotland’s premier whisky region, is renowned for its dedication to quality and tradition. In 1970, the distillery expanded its operations by increasing its stills from one to two pairs, enhancing its production capacity. While Glen Spey primarily supplies high-quality blended Scotch whiskies, its exceptional single malts are featured in prestigious independent bottlings such as Gordon & MacPhail’s Connoisseurs Choice and the sought-after Carn Mor ranges. This blend of traditional craftsmanship and strategic expansion ensures Glen Spey remains a key contributor to both blended and single malt segments of the whisky market. Visitors and whisky enthusiasts alike appreciate Glen Spey for its rich heritage, consistent quality, and the distinctive character that Speyside malt whisky is celebrated for worldwide. Whether used in renowned blends or enjoyed as standalone single malts, Glen Spey Distillery continues to uphold its legacy as a cornerstone of Scotland’s esteemed whisky industry.
