Benromach Distillery, designed by Charles C. Doig and constructed in 1898 for D. McCallum and F.W. Burickman at Forres in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region, has a rich history marked by multiple closures before its acquisition in 1993 by Gordon & MacPhail. Under their stewardship, Benromach’s single pair of stills were reignited in 1998, ushering in a new era of handcrafted single malt production.
