This elevated location ensures a plentiful supply of soft, peaty spring water, crucial to Aberlour’s distinct character. With four copper stills in operation, around half of the spirit goes into crafting Aberlour’s single malt whiskies—notably the popular Aberlour A’bunadh, a batch-release single malt aged exclusively in ex-sherry casks.
