Bottle Information
Tasting Notes
Highland Park 12 Year Old 2013 Lady of the Glen Samhain is a distinctive Orkney single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Lady of the Glen for its atmospheric Samhain Series. Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026, this 12 year old Highland Park was matured in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, cask #2217, yielding just 231 bottles at a powerful 59.3% ABV. Highland Park’s combination of heather honey, gentle peat smoke and maritime character works beautifully with first-fill bourbon oak. The cask adds layers of vanilla, coconut, citrus and sweet spice, while the underlying spirit retains its characteristic honeyed malt, soft smoke and coastal freshness. Bottled from a single cask at high strength, this is a vivid and characterful expression of classic Orcadian single malt. This release forms part of the Lady of the Glen Samhain Series, where each whisky is paired with a tale inspired by Scottish folklore and local legend. The evocative labels are created by Edinburgh-based artist and designer Steven Shand, whose intricate artwork and storytelling draw on more than 15 years of experience in the Scottish whisky industry. Together, the whisky and artwork capture the haunting, atmospheric spirit of Samhain and Scotland’s rich cultural past.
