Glenlossie 20 Year Old 1992 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. Single cask refill hogshead #10061 bottled September 2013 by Douglas Laing & Co. for the Old Particular series. 304 bottles.
Glenlossie Distillery was established to the west of Fogwatt in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region by John Duff in 1867. A private rail line opened in 1896 to connect Glenlossie with two neighbouring distilleries which enabled efficient movement of good between distilleries and gave Glenlossie Distillery access to the Morayshire Railway and hence speedy connections with the wider world. Glenlossie’s six stills produce a light malt whisky which is used primarily in the production of Diagio’s blends of scotch whisky.
Nose: Freshly cut wood followed by clean/spiced barley & a citric cologne style.
Palate: Shows chewy vanilla fudge + heather honey, syrup & more Malty cues.
Finish: Lightly smoked + jam & cream on burnt pancakes .... sprinkled with ginger.
