Braeval Distillery is situated on the north-eastern edge of the Grampian Mountains and in the Cairngorms National Park at Chapeltown of Glenlivet in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. Opened as Braes of Glenlivet in 1973 and re-named Braeval in 1995. Braeval is a Scottish malt whisky distillery and the highest working distillery in Scotland at an altitude of 352m. A modern pagoda roof towers over an attractive and relatively modern works. With white washed walls and dark slated roofs Braeval is well camouflaged when the snows falls. Production from six stills is geared up for the blending market, and there have been no distillery releases and just a very few independent ones to date.
