Tamnavulin 21 Year Old 1993 Old Malt Cask

Tamnavulin 21 Year Old 1993 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. Single cask refill butt #11150 bottled December 2014 by Hunter Laing & Co. for the Old Malt Cask series. 318 bottles. Tamnavulin Tamnavulin is a Speyside malt whisky distillery and commenced production in 1966. Following closure in 1995 it re-opened in 2007 and now operates with six stills. Tamnavulin sits by the River Livet on the northern edge of the Cairngorm Mountains. NOSE: Opens sweetly spiced (cinnamon?) – carrying a creamy sweet quality of butter caramels.
PALATE: More sweet spices warming to oven baked apples and spiced peaches – tarte tatin style.
FINISH: Long – developing to an attractive butterscotch and vanilla character with lingering sweet spices.
