Tamdhu 16 Year Old 2009 is a richly sherried Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. for their renowned Old Malt Cask series. Distilled in 2009 and matured in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead (#21865), this exceptional whisky was bottled in July 2025, yielding just 319 bottles. It perfectly captures Tamdhu’s signature full-bodied spirit enriched by the indulgent sweetness and depth of first-rate PX sherry wood.

탐두
1896년 스코틀랜드 스페이사이드 위스키 산지에 설립된 탐두 증류소는 1897년 유명한 찰스 도이그의 설계로 생산을 시작했습니다. 처음에는 증류기 두 대를 갖추고 있었지만, 탐두는 페이머스 그라우스와 커티삭 블렌드 위스키의 주요 원료로 사용되면서 수요 증가에 맞춰 1972년 네 대, 1975년 여섯 대로 확장되었습니다. 스코틀랜드에서 마지막으로 가동되던 살라딘 몰팅 박스와 함께 2010년에 문을 닫았던 탐두는 2012년 이언 맥클라우드 증류소에 인수되어 재개장했습니다. 탐두의 대표적인 싱글 몰트 위스키로는 탐두 10년산과 배치 스트렝스가 있습니다.
