Royal Lochnagar 18 Year Old 1996 Cadenhead's

Royal Lochnagar 18 Year Old 1996 vintage Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Bottled by Cadenhead's for the Small Batch series. Royal Lochnagar James Robertson established the original Royal Lochnagar Distillery on the north bank of the River Dee in 1823. Following a fire in 1826 he opened a new Royal Lochnagar Distillery close by the southern banks of the River Dee and in the shadow of Lochnagar Mountain which also supplied the distillery with water from wells on its lower slopes. Royal Lochnagar can claim the royal prefix, a royal warrant and royal neighbours in the summer time. Royal Lochnagar Distillery is a traditional stone built farm-yard style malt whisky distillery complete with a malt kiln and pagoda roof, two stills, square red brick chimney and steamy worm tubs.  The Royal Lochnagar Distillery visitor centre welcomes visitors and offers distillery tours.
