Royal Brackla 15 Year Old 2011 Murray McDavid Benchmark is a richly sherried Highland single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Murray McDavid for its popular Benchmark collection. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026, this 15 year old expression was matured in Ximénez-Spínola Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, yielding 928 bottles at a powerful 57.2% ABV. Royal Brackla is known for its elegant, fruit-led Highland style, and the influence of Ximénez-Spínola PX sherry casks adds considerable richness and depth. Expect layers of raisins, dates, dark chocolate, treacle and warming spice alongside the distillery's underlying orchard fruit, sweet malt and polished character. The result is a bold but well-balanced whisky in which the PX sweetness complements rather than overwhelms the spirit.
