Distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2026, this 7 year old Laphroaig was matured in a single refill barrel, cask #66, yielding just 137 bottles at a powerful 58.6% ABV. Laphroaig is renowned for its intense peat smoke, maritime salinity and distinctive medicinal character, and maturation in a refill barrel allows that unmistakable Islay spirit to remain firmly at the forefront. Expect layers of seaweed, iodine, bonfire smoke and citrus alongside vanilla, sweet malt and gentle oak. Bottled at high strength, this is a vivid and uncompromising expression of youthful Laphroaig. This release forms part of the Lady of the Glen Samhain Series, where each whisky is paired with a tale inspired by Scottish folklore and local legend.
