Deanston 20 Year Old 1994 vintage Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Single cask refill hogshead #10426 bottled August 2014 by Douglas Laing & Co. for the Old Particular series. 288 bottles. Deanston Deanston Distillery was established in an old mill near Doune in 1965 and is a Highland malt whisky distillery. Visitors are welcomed at the Deanston Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available and its superb cafe is open all year. Nose: A hint of wood polish mingled with home baking, gentle spices & burnt sugar.
Palate: More spice with marmalade & butterscotch + a distinct earthy character.
Finish: Melted butter on wholemeal toast, a gristy sweetness & damp earth.

The Distillery
