Alexander Mathieson established Dalmore Distillery in 1839 on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth near Alness in Scotland’s Highland whisky region. Dalmore stills are unique, the wash stills have flat tops  and water jackets encircle the necks of the four spirit stills. Visitors are welcomed at Dalmore malt whisky Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available. A participant in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

Marmalade and Christmas cake with subtle hints of roasted coffee and chocolate. Then ripe oranges and lemon peel give elegant, zesty, top notes.
