Distilled March 1992 bottled February 2013. Dailuaine Dailuaine Distillery was established by William Mackenzie in 1851 at Carron in the heart of Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. In 1889 Charles C. Doig was commissioned by Dailuaine Distillery to design a new roof for its malt kiln and the commission resulted in the very first Doig pagoda roof being installed at Dailuaine Distillery. The design proved successful, was rapidly adopted by other distilleries and nowadays it is the iconic symbol of Scotland’s traditional malt whisky distilleries. Unfortunately, Doig’s original roof was destroyed during a fire at Dailuaine malt whisky distillery in 1917.
