콜번
유명 건축가 찰스 C. 도이그가 1897년 던디에 기반을 둔 위스키 블렌딩 회사를 위해 설계한 콜번 증류소는 1899년 스코틀랜드 스페이사이드 위스키 산지인 포그와트 남쪽의 콜번 농장에 공식적으로 문을 열었습니다. 콜번 기차역 바로 옆에 위치하여 남부 블렌더들과의 교통이 편리했기에 초기 성공에 기여했습니다. 그러나 콜번 증류소는 1985년에 문을 닫았고, 역사적인 건물들은 많이 남아 있지만 원래의 장비들은 대부분 반출되었습니다. 오늘날 고든 앤 맥페일의 콜번 레어 올드와 같은 최근 출시 제품들은 수집가들 사이에서 높은 가치를 지니며, 희귀하고 인기 있는 스페이사이드 몰트 위스키로서의 콜번의 위상을 반영하고 있습니다.
