Bunnahabhain 31 Year Old Signatory Vintage

Single sherry cask #2586. Bottled April 2009. 598 individually numbered bottles. Bunnahabhain Tucked away at the end of the single track ‘main’ road on the north east of Islay since 1881. Fantabulous scenery all the way. Once upon a time the distillery houses were so numerous they constituted a village with its own school.  This is a ‘big’ distillery, its pear shaped stills are ginormous and a sight to behold and yet, with a hint of salt, a touch of caramel, sometimes sherry and a dash of malt, Bunahabhain is a different Islay, a softer and gentler whisky for sure.
