Benriach The Sixteen is a richly layered Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, matured for 16 years in a distinctive combination of bourbon, sherry, and port casks. This triple-cask maturation approach amplifies Benriach’s core flavour components of fruit, malt, and oak, allowing them to become deeper, more concentrated, and beautifully integrated with age. The result is a complex yet approachable single malt that showcases the distillery’s innovative spirit and mastery of wood management.

벤리악
벤리악 증류소는 1898년 존 더프(John Duff)에 의해 스코틀랜드의 명성 높은 스페이사이드 위스키 산지, 엘긴 남쪽에 설립되었으며, 그레이트 노스 오브 스코틀랜드 철도(Great North of Scotland Railway)와 연결되는 전용 선로도 갖추고 있었습니다. 1900년에 문을 닫아야 했지만, 벤리악의 전통적인 플로어 몰팅 시설(고전적인 파고다 지붕이 특징)은 1999년까지 계속 운영되어 증류소의 유산을 소중히 간직했습니다. 1965년에 재개장하고 2004년에 완전히 재가동된 벤리악은 10년산 벤리악을 시작으로 16년산 벤리악, 그리고 1970년대까지 거슬러 올라가는 빈티지 캐스크 제품들을 포함한 광범위한 싱글 몰트 스카치 위스키 라인업을 개발해 왔습니다. 현재 미국의 브라운-포먼(Brown-Forman) 소유인 벤리악은 혁신적인 정신과 장인 정신에 대한 변함없는 헌신으로 전 세계 애호가들의 찬사를 받으며 스페이사이드 위스키 전통의 중요한 축을 이루고 있습니다.
