Distilled at the now-silent Banff distillery, this 1975 vintage whisky is a true collector’s gem—only 122 individually numbered bottles were produced. Bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill filtered, and natural in colour, it represents one of the finest and final echoes of this lost Highland malt.

The Distillery

원래 1824년 제임스 맥킬리건 소령이 밴프 남쪽 메인스 오브 콜레오나드 농장에 밴프 제분소를 설립한 이 초기 증류소는 1863년 심슨의 아들이 인버보인디에 새로운 증류소(훗날 밴프 증류소로 알려짐)를 건설하면서 문을 닫았습니다. 밴프 증류소는 스코틀랜드 하이랜드 몰트 위스키 전통에서 중요한 역할을 했지만, 1983년에 운영을 중단했고, 1985년에 일부가 철거되었으며, 1991년 화재로 더욱 심하게 파괴되었습니다. 그 결과, 밴프는 현재 스코틀랜드의 사라진 증류소 중 하나로 여겨지며, 남아 있는 캐스크와 병입 제품들(예: 고든 앤 맥페일 레어 올드 시리즈)은 전 세계 위스키 수집가와 애호가들에게 매우 귀중하게 여겨지고 있습니다.
