원래 존 불록이 1800년경에 설립하고 1823년에 던토처 증류소로 허가를 받은 오켄토샨 증류소는 1830년대에 현재의 이름으로 변경되었습니다. 달무어 바로 북쪽 클라이드 강변에 자리 잡은 오켄토샨은 한때 탁 트인 전원 지대에 있었지만, 지금은 글래스고 북서쪽 경계, 로크 로몬드에서 멀지 않은 곳에 위치해 있습니다. 스코틀랜드 증류소 중 몇 안 되는 3중 증류 방식을 고수하는 오켄토샨은 독특하게 가볍고 세련된 로우랜드 싱글 몰트 위스키를 생산합니다. 위미스, 헌터 라잉, 케이든헤즈 등의 독립 병입 제품들은 여전히 높은 인기를 누리고 있으며, 이는 오켄토샨의 부드럽고 접근하기 쉬운 특징에 대한 변함없는 매력을 보여줍니다.
