존과 토미 듀어 형제는 1896년에 애버펠디 증류소를 설립하고 2년 후 증류를 시작하여 자신들의 블렌디드 스카치 위스키 브랜드인 존 듀어 앤 선즈에 사용할 고품질 스코틀랜드 몰트 위스키를 안정적으로 공급하고자 했습니다. 애버펠디는 퍼스셔 시골 지역의 중심부에 위치한 하이랜드 몰트 위스키 증류소로, 현재는 애버펠디 12년산부터 애버펠디 21년산까지 다양한 싱글 몰트 위스키를 생산하고 있습니다. 이 하이랜드 몰트 위스키 증류소의 네 개의 구리 증류기는 피트 향이 없는 위스키와 약한 피트 향이 가미된 위스키를 모두 생산합니다. 애버펠디의 오래된 몰트 저장고는 현재 듀어 월드 오브 위스키 방문객 센터로 사용되고 있습니다.
