Roughly a quarter the size of a 500 litre butt, Quarter Casks allow for increased whisky to wood contact within the barrel compared to larger conventional cask types. This increased wood contact creates pronounced caramel and vanilla character in this expression.
Kilchoman Quarter Cask Matured, Original Cask Strength Islay single malt Scotch whisky. A vatting of 95 quarter casks yielding 12,000 bottles.

Kilchoman
Kilchoman Distillery, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is beautifully situated at Rockside Farm near the historic Kilchoman Cross and Kilchoman Church on the west side of Islay. As the island’s newest and most westerly distillery, Kilchoman specialises in producing exceptional single malt whisky through a field-to-bottle process, malting barley grown in Rockside fields and using pure local Islay water. Operating with just two small stills, Kilchoman is one of Scotland’s smallest working distilleries. Distinguished bottlings include Kilchoman Loch Gorm and Kilchoman Sanaig, highly prized by whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
