Uitvlugt Rum Distillery, once located along the banks of the Demerara River in Guyana, was renowned for producing some of the most sought-after rums in the world. Established in the 18th century, Uitvlugt (pronounced "eye-flut") crafted rum using traditional wooden stills, including the famous Double Wooden Pot Still, which now operates at Diamond Distillery.
