Tomatin 20 Year Old 1994 vintage Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Single cask refill hogshead #11143 bottled December 2014 by Hunter Laing & Co. for the Old Malt Cask series. 233 bottles. Tomatin Tomatin malt whisky distillery was established in 1897 and operated with two stills until 1956 after which there were frequent and numerous additions culminating in 23 stills in 1986 making Tomatin the largest distillery in Scotland at that time. However, eleven were subsequently closed and it is currently operating with twelve. Tomatin Distillery is a Scottish Highland distillery situated close to the Cairngorms National Park and sitting at an altitude of 315m it is the third highest distillery in Scotland. Great importance is placed on the quality of its casks and Tomatin Distillery is one of very few Scottish distilleries to continue to operate a cooperage and to employ a cooper on site. Visitors are welcomed at the Tomatin Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available.  Nose: Sweet vanilla, gingerbread, green apple skins and melon.
Palate: Creamy vanilla custard with fruit salad and spices.
Finish: Medium dry, with a slightly sweet aftertaste.

Tomatin Distillery, founded in 1897, operated with just two stills until 1956, after which rapid expansions led to 23 stills by 1986, making it Scotland’s largest distillery at the time. Today, it operates with eight stills out of its twelve. Nestled near the Cairngorms National Park at an altitude of 315m, it is Scotland's third-highest distillery, producing distinctive Highland single malts. The official range includes the Tomatin 12 Year Old, 18 Year Old, and the peated Cu Bocan series, showcasing the distillery’s versatility and commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
