Cask #745. An 11-year old bottling from Tobermory distillery on the west coast island of Mull.
Tobermory Distillery was established by John Sinclair in 1798 and is situated in the harbour town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull off the west coast of Scotland. Tobermory Distillery is a Scottish Islands malt whisky distillery and is equipped with four stills fitted with unusually twisted lyne arms to create a light and fruity spirit. The distillery produces an unpeated single malt whisky called Tobermory and a peated single malt whisky called Ledaig. Tobermory Distillery welcomes visitors at its visitor centre which offers tours around Tobermory Distillery.
The nose is pleasantly plump, with some yellow fruit emerging in advance of mint and delicate peat-smoke. The palate offers light, buttery toast notes, finishing in a soft easy-going manner, as a little spice cuts in.
