John Keith established Strathmill Distillery in 1891 on a prim site between the River Isla and the Great North of Scotland Railway. Strathmill is a malt whisky distillery situated in the town of Keith in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. One of a small number of Scottish malt whisky distilleries with purifiers fitted to its spirit stills, between the lyne arm and the condenser, till to produce an elegantly light and fruity malt whisky.
Nose: Floral; strawberry plants; honey, melon and green apple skins.
Taste: Faint molasses with brazil nuts. Liquorice and with more appple notes and dried pineapple.
Finish: Chewy and malty, with melon and honeycomb.
