AROMA WITHOUT WATER: Sweet, soft fruits - brambles and blackcurrents. Hints of menthol and spearmint with toasted oak aromas. TASTE WITHOUT WATER: Rich, sherrywood with treacle and spices - aniseed and cinnamon. Drying, smoky edge. AROMA WITH WATER: Herbal with waxy notes - polished leather. Hints of cooked fruits - apples and gooseberries. The Sherry influence lingers in the backround. TASTE WITH WATER: Smoky initially followed by Sherry and charred oak. Burnt sugar and aniseed notes also present.
