Springbank Distillery, founded in 1828 in Campbeltown at the foot of the Mull of Kintyre, is renowned for its traditional methods and versatility. It produces three distinct single malts: Hazelburn (non-peated, triple distilled), Longrow (heavily peated, double distilled), and Springbank (medium peated, partially triple distilled with a 2.5-times distillation process). Barley is malted on-site using traditional malting floors, germinated, and dried on the perforated floor of the malt kiln.
