Springbank 10 Year Old Portwood Cask #789 Campbeltown single malt Scotch Whisky. Single private bottling for Jamieson. Springbank The oldest, independent and family owned distillery in Scotland, founded in Campbeltown at the foot of the Mull of Kintyre in 1828. Own maltings with fabulous peat-reek, three small copper stills complete with a worm tub to cools the spirit from the first spirit still, some triple distillation, on-site maturation and a bottling plant. Able to produce a range of cask strength, single cask and wood finishes in each of its three core products namely Springbank which is medium peated, Hazelburn and Longrow. Springbank malt whisky is partially triple distilled having been distilled two and a half times, its malt having been dried on a traditional kiln floor by peat smoke for six hours then by hot air for a day.
