Embrace the heart of Campbeltown with Springbank 10 Year Old 2011 Local Barley, bottled in December 2021. This release leverages Belgravia barley grown at Glencraigs Farm in the Campbeltown region, then matured in bourbon barrels to accentuate its naturally sweet, malty spirit. With 15,000 bottles produced, it’s a larger-scale celebration of Springbank’s tradition of showcasing locally sourced barley and artisanal production, delivering a dram steeped in regional authenticity.

Why We Think You’ll Love It:

  • Emphasizes Springbank’s Local Barley ethos, featuring Belgravia barley cultivated at Glencraigs Farm

  • Bourbon barrel maturation imparts a crisp, clean profile that highlights sweet cereal character and subtle coastal nuances

  • A substantial yet limited outturn of 15,000 bottles, making it both collectable and more widely available

  • Exemplifies Springbank’s signature style—a harmonious blend of maritime influence, malty sweetness, and small-scale craftsmanship

Experience the synergy of local grain, maritime climate, and dedicated craft in this Campbeltown malt—an inviting snapshot of Scotland’s whisky heritage, straight from the source.

The Distillery

Springbank
Springbank Distillery, founded in 1828 in Campbeltown at the foot of the Mull of Kintyre, is renowned for its traditional methods and versatility. It produces three distinct single malts: Hazelburn (non-peated, triple distilled), Longrow (heavily peated, double distilled), and Springbank (medium peated, partially triple distilled with a 2.5-times distillation process). Barley is malted on-site using traditional malting floors, germinated, and dried on the perforated floor of the malt kiln. Popular releases include the Springbank 10 Year Old, 15 Year Old Local Barley, and the annual 21 Year Old, treasured by whisky enthusiasts.
