TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: The nose opens with an exquisite medley of maritime notes and aged complexity. Expect the quintessential Islay peat smoke, beautifully integrated with layers of dried fruits, particularly figs and dates, alongside hints of dark chocolate and old leather. Subtle undertones of seaweed and brine add an authentic coastal dimension.
Palate: On the palate, this whisky delivers a luxurious and multi-layered experience. The initial impact is one of silky smoothness, with rich flavors of dark toffee, roasted nuts, and sweet sherry notes. The peat smoke is refined and well-rounded, complemented by a gentle spice of cinnamon and nutmeg. Hints of dried fruits, such as raisins and sultanas, mingle with a touch of sea salt and oak, creating a complex and balanced profile.
Finish: The finish is exceptionally long and elegant, with the peat smoke and sherry sweetness lingering harmoniously. A delicate interplay of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and a soft, warming spice leaves a lasting and memorable impression.
