An unusual cult favourite, a black single malt whisky introduced in 1996 and now discontinued. It is crated by adding caramel to the spirit; resulting in a distinct colour and taste.
Mannochmore Distillery was established in 1971 in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region alongside an elderly neighbour which dates from 1876. Mannochmore is equipped with eight larch washbacks and six stills and produced Loch Dhu the now sought after ‘black’ single malt whisky produced by maturation of Mannochmore malt whisky in heavily charred oak casks. Mannochmore typically produces light malt whisky with fragrant vanilla and malty notes.
No tasting notes at present.
