Tasting Notes

Nose Green apple, vanilla cream, honeyed malt, and citrus zest with hints of soft oak and floral sweetness. Palate Smooth and lively, revealing flavours of pear, caramel, malt biscuits, orchard fruits, and gentle spice. Finish Medium to long, clean and warming, with lingering vanilla sweetness and delicate oak notes.

Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2016 from single cask #CM228, this rare release yielded just 115 bottles, making it a highly collectible independent bottling of one of Speyside’s most admired distilleries.

Despite its relatively youthful age, Longmorn’s naturally rich and fruity spirit shines with impressive maturity and depth. The whisky delivers classic Speyside notes of orchard fruits, honeyed malt, vanilla, and gentle spice, all presented in the natural style for which the Golden Cask range is renowned. Bottled without chill-filtration or added colour, this is a pure and expressive single malt with excellent balance and complexity.

Longmorn Distillery, founded by John Duff, George Thomson, and Charles Shirres in 1893, is a prestigious Speyside malt whisky distillery located just north of Fogwatt beside the Strathspey Railway.
