Tasting Notes

TWB Tasting Notes: Nose: The nose is rich and inviting, with an alluring bouquet of dried fruits—particularly raisins, dates, and figs—underpinned by decadent notes of dark chocolate and treacle. As it opens up, you’ll detect hints of spiced oak, cinnamon, and a subtle touch of leather, all enveloped in a warm, sherried sweetness. Palate: On the palate, this whisky delivers a full-bodied and luxurious experience. The Pedro Ximenez cask influence shines through with layers of rich toffee, molasses, and ripe plums. There's a delightful sweetness that’s balanced by flavors of honeyed nuts and warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. As you savor each sip, a subtle hint of espresso and dark cocoa emerges, adding depth and complexity to the flavor profile. Finish: The finish is long, warm, and satisfying, with lingering notes of sherried fruit, particularly figs and raisins, alongside a gentle spiciness. The aftertaste is rich and velvety, leaving behind a final impression of dark chocolate, sweet toffee, and a touch of oak tannins, making for a beautifully balanced and memorable conclusion.
