Lochlea Harvest Edition First Crop is a vibrant Lowland single malt Scotch whisky, released on 6th September 2022 as the second bottling in Lochlea’s acclaimed Seasonal Series. Inspired by the excitement of the annual harvest on the independent Ayrshire farm distillery, this limited edition celebrates the culmination of the growing season with a carefully balanced combination of Port casks, first-fill Oloroso sherry casks from Miguel Martin, and first-fill Maker’s Mark bourbon casks. Just 9,000 bottles were produced worldwide.

Each cask type contributes its own distinctive character. Port casks bring ripe berry fruits and gentle sweetness, first-fill Oloroso adds layers of dried fruits, chocolate, and warming spice, while Maker’s Mark bourbon casks provide creamy vanilla, honey, and soft oak. Together, they create a rich yet vibrant whisky that perfectly complements Lochlea’s naturally fruity and cereal-forward spirit. Bottled without chill-filtration and at natural colour, Harvest Edition First Crop is a beautifully crafted seasonal release.
