Nose Aromas of tropical fruit, vanilla pod, and molasses, lifted by a gentle smoky haze and hints of sea spray. Palate Sweet and smoky with layers of ripe mango, pineapple, and toffee, intertwined with peat smoke, charred oak, and a touch of spiced treacle. Finish Long, warming, and complex, leaving notes of smouldering embers, caramelised sugar, and lingering rum sweetness.

This exceptional release comes from a unique Ex-Rum Peated Cask, originally seasoned with Caribbean rum before being used to mature peated malt whisky on Islay. Bottled at a robust 59.1% cask strength, non-chillfiltered and at natural colour, it delivers a bold and distinctive flavour journey. Only 231 bottles have been produced.

Lindores Abbey Distillery, established in 2017 on the historic grounds of Lindores Abbey in Newburgh, Fife, Scotland, honors the site of the first written reference to whisky distillation in the country. Initiated in 2013, the project thoughtfully rebuilt the distillery, opening its Visitor Centre and commencing distillation in 2017. Lindores Abbey Distillery is set to release its inaugural single malt Scotch whisky in Summer 2021, featuring both commemorative bottlings and standard releases. Embracing Scotland’s rich whisky heritage, Lindores Abbey Distillery attracts enthusiasts seeking authentic and historically significant whiskies.
