Ledaig (Tobermory)
Tobermory Distillery was established by John Sinclair in 1798 and is situated in the harbour town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull off the west coast of Scotland. Tobermory Distillery is a Scottish Islands malt whisky distillery and is equipped with four stills fitted with unusually twisted lyne arms to create a light and fruity spirit. The distillery produces an unpeated single malt whisky called Tobermory and a peated single malt whisky called Ledaig. Tobermory Distillery welcomes visitors at its visitor centre which offers tours around Tobermory Distillery.
Nose: Initially aromatic, with a salty sea air aroma. A Sweetness follows - bees wax. A very slight trace of smoke is also present. Palate: Very warming, with a creamy texture. A dark chocolate and fudge note brings sweetness, which is followed by fruitiness - cooked pears.
