Isle of Jura
The first Isle of Jura Distillery was built at Craighouse on the Isle of Jura off the west coast of Scotland in 1810 but closed in 1901 and was subsequently demolished. The present Isle of Jura Distillery was designed by William Delmé Evans and opened in 1963. The Jura Distillery visitor centre and shop offers distillery tours and accommodation in the Jura Distillery Lodge, and the distillery supports The Malt Whisky Writers Retreat and participates in Feis Ile, the Islay Festival of Malt and Music.
Nose: Crème Caramel, slightly peppery with some citrus.
Palate: Toffee, digestive biscuits, more pepper and a hint of arrange.
Finish: A medium, slightly spicy finish.

Jura
Isle of Jura Distillery, located in Craighouse on the Isle of Jura off Scotland’s west coast, originally opened in 1810 but closed in 1901. Rebuilt by architect William Delmé Evans, the modern distillery reopened in 1963 with four stills. Specializing in primarily unpeated single malt whisky, Jura also produces a limited annual peated expression. Actively participating in Feis Ile, the Islay Festival of Malt and Music, Jura offers notable releases including Jura Superstition, Jura Prophecy, and Jura 21 Year Old.
