Tasting Notes

A big and initially sweet nose followed by grist and cereal. The palate reveals sweet barley, vanilla, oak and spice whereas the finish has more sweet barley, spice and porridge.

The Distillery

Isle of Jura Distillery, located in Craighouse on the Isle of Jura off Scotland’s west coast, originally opened in 1810 but closed in 1901. Rebuilt by architect William Delmé Evans, the modern distillery reopened in 1963 with four stills. Specializing in primarily unpeated single malt whisky, Jura also produces a limited annual peated expression.
